Brewglass isn't your grandfather’s bluegrass. It started when Joris became obsessed with fiddle tunes and decided to drag Jurgen down with him by gifting him a mandolin. It worked. A long history of trying to blend jazz trumpets with rock guitars finally found its home in the raw, acoustic energy of roots music.

With Johan locking it all down on the upright bass, the Brewglass sound hit its stride: traditional instruments played with a rock 'n' roll heart and a funk-driven groove.

We don't care much for keeping traditions pure; we’d rather keep them alive. For us, it’s about the stories, the bad puns, and the chemistry that happens when three friends play with everything they’ve got. Whether we are performing on a makeshift stage in Albania, a barn in the Ardennes, or a local spot in Deinum, we want you to feel that same rush we do.

Our mission is simple: we play to opvrolijken. We want to inspire you to pick up an instrument, share a laugh at our expense, and make sure you leave the show with a grin and a serious thirst.
